Kowloon Reservoir was first completed in 1910, the first reservoir in “New Territories”. Today it is part of Kam Shan Country Park in Sha Tin District.
The main dam is one of the declared monuments along with other 4 structures at the reservoir. Its signature curved dam makes it special in Hong Kong and very easy to recognize.
Most of the macaques (monkeys) in Hong Kong reside in this area, do not bother them as they can be very offsensive, especially if you carry food. I was lucky to take a few shots at them, before they shouted at me.
