First Roll of 35mm Ortho Plus

Ilford has brought out a new film last year… well strictly speaking making its Ortho Plus film available in 35mm & 120; it was only available in large format.

As the name suggests, it is an orthochromatic film designed to be copy film. I doubt if there is still a demand for copy film nowadays, but it offers an intriguing and different experience as a photographic film, as it is not sensitive to red light.

These are from the first roll I shot with Contax RTS with 50mm f1.7 Planar, in my opinion it performs very well with landscapes, cityscapes and portrait. I also noticed some halo effect when shot straight to lights.

Hiking with Mamiya C330

As with everyone in Hong Kong, I went for a short hiking near Kowloon Reservoir. I brought my Mamiya C330 equipped with 65mm lens, and shot a couple rolls of Fujicolor PRO 400H and a roll of Kodak Tri-X.

Besides the video, here are some of the photos on that day…

Afternoon and Sunset in Kwun Tong

It was a nice and clear December afternoon where I just got my Nikkor 105mm lens repaired, these are some test shots after I got the lens back with Fujicolor 100. I think they turned out great! Not having shot Fujicolor 100 for a while, I am surprised how warm the photos came out… well I guess it was sunset anyway…

New Video – Printing Sesh #02

Another Saturday another video! (I hope I can keep up the weekly schedule)

In this video I share my darkroom prints made last year, including some contact sheets shot in Taiwan, and a few 35mm prints. I find Ilford’s RC Pearl paper to be the best for contact sheets, it is easy to handle.

Once again, please let me know your thoughts and comments. Subscribe to my channel for more video contents like this!

New Video – Street Level with T-MAX 400

This is a new try for me, making video about myself shooting on the street. I take a lot inspiration from other photographers on Youtube, and I thought it might be interesting to make videos myself.

I was half grocery shopping and half shooting with my Konica Genba Kantoku 28 HG and Kodak T-MAX 400. As you may or may not know, wet market is my favoured terrain.

So there you go, any thoughts and comments are appreciated!
